PABCO Gypsum Las Vegas a wallboard manufacturing Company is now hiring a Health & Safety Coordinator to be responsible for planning, establishing, implementing, and maintaining health and safety policies and programs in compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.

What’s the work Schedule?

Regular schedule: Monday – Friday 7 am to 3 pm with potential after hours calls
What’s the Job?

Performs and coordinates job safety analysis, risk assessments and creates action plans to reduce risk.
Manages worker’s compensation at the plant level, working closely with the risk management, supervisors, and managers.
Actively involved in modified duty or return to work process.
Assist with maintaining the site preparedness, emergency plans, injury and illness plans.
Performs accident and incident investigations which occur in the area of responsibility, safety policy & procedures.
Conduct regular safety audits, reporting, and managing the corrective actions with focus on root cause to prevent reoccurrence.
Maintain accurate records regarding worker training and safety.
Provides effective safety training including but not limited to: forklift operation, hearing conservation, lockout/tag out, exposure programs, PPE, HazCom, hoist inspections, confined spaces, hot work, etc.
Prepares and conducts employee training and safety meetings.
Responsible for ensuring job safety analysis documents are complete for each production position, including Lock Out Tag Out policies.
You and your experience:

Associate degree from two-year college or university in a related field or equivalent experience.
Three to five (3-5) years in Health & Safety; or equivalent combination of education and experience in Industrial, Mining or Manufacturing.
