PURPOSE, VALUES, VOICES: WHAT WE STAND FOR
The Scheduler’s responsibilities include assessing and overseeing raw inventory and stock levels to guarantee operational efficiency and adherence to customer standards while managing the proper mix of gauges (MRP). This role will also coordinate customer orders by producing new items and retrieving stocked products by following shipping schedules.
We are excited about you because you will:
Implement effective inventory control methods, including the utilization and rotation of older inventory.
Collect changeover data, analyze it, and establish benchmarks to enhance operational efficiencies through Bazinga.
Review exception reports and non-conformance reports, resolving issues promptly.
Coordinate the slitting and transfer of materials with external processors.
Create setups and optimize yield percentages, minimizing arbor changes for enhanced productivity.
Ensure timely and accurate costing of slit coils, maintaining proper inventory levels within company guidelines.
Attend periodic meetings with the Plant Manager and Corporate Purchasing.
Manage the daily lead-time sheet and communicate effectively with the sales team.
Assign production dates to all incoming orders and schedule mill operations while sequencing shop orders.
Transmit orders to AMS controllers and adjust or assign special punch patterns as needed.
Supervise finish goods inventory and create stock orders accordingly.
Collaborate with production supervisors and leads to ensure timely completion of all orders.
Assign steel dates to orders, create slitter setups, manage slit coil inventory, and cost coils appropriately.
Generate IPL orders and stock orders for various locations.
Oversee flat sheet inventory and coordinate the pickup of processed coils from outside steel processors.
Create setups and send purchase orders to vendors as required.
Place orders for purchased items from various suppliers.
Manage the procurement of office supplies and handle the shipment of any required packages via FedEx.
Perform any other duties and responsibilities as assigned in accordance with the job description.

Ensures adherence to ClarkDietrich safety rules by all manufacturing personnel.
Operates safely, strictly following all safety rules and operational procedures.
Utilizes and maintains all necessary Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
Always maintains cleanliness in the assigned work area.

Strong computer skills, preferably with Bazinga, Profit, Eclipse, Carswin and Microsoft Office.
Flexibility to adapt to changes in production schedules, priorities, and unforeseen challenges.
Capacity to identify and resolve issues in the scheduling process and implement solutions.
Willingness and availability to work flexible hours or shifts as required.
Possess strong mechanical skills.

Requirements
Education and Experience:
High school or GED preferred.
2+ years’ experience in product pre inventory cycle counts.
Background with manufacturing methods and procedures, process improvement programs and procedures preferred.
Strong Customer Service focus with 2+ years’ experience.
Physical Requirements/ Other Requirements:
Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on computer, standing, and walking throughout the facility.
Lifting, standing, walking, body positions, grasping, sitting, pushing effort, pulling, climbing, walking up and down stairs, lift up to 50 lbs.
Able to work in moderate/high noise in the manufacturing area.
