Payroll GL Accountant Responsible for general ledger accounting, balance sheet reconciliations, oversight of payables and receivables, assisting with month end close, accruals, and ad hoc projects.

Payroll GL Accountant Position Requirements:
The Payroll GL Accountant will support all duties associated with the accurate recording of payroll, and related financial close.
Perform all general ledger functions related to payroll, including but not limited to; balancing and recording all payroll related journal entries, accruals, reconciliation of balance sheet accounts, month end close, etc.
Prepare and record payroll, and employment tax related re-class journal entries.
Support the semi-monthly, biweekly and weekly US and Canada payroll processes with UltiPro, posting payroll Journal Entries.
Reconcile accounts with the general ledger and ensure that all entries are accurate.
Preform all PTO (US and Canada) and wage accrual.
Labor and FP&A allocation (US and Canada)
Conduct all 401K, FSA, payroll cash, etc. reconciliations and work with all teams to troubleshoot any errors.
Analyze and submit all UKG billing and payments.
Review journal entries and rec for GL.
Works closely with cross-functional teams on all general ledger related tasks, including accounting close.
Evaluate and recommend process changes to increase efficiency.
Perform special projects and other duties as assigned.
Possess knowledge of payroll-related requirements and regulations.
QUALITIFCATIONS:
Bachelor’s degree is required in Accounting or Finance discipline
Expert in Microsoft Office Applications
Analytical skills, ability to interpret and communicate financial information
3+ years of prior general ledger/accounting experience within a mid-size or large company
After receipt of conditional offer of employment, must be able to pass drug screen/physical/background check.
Pluses: UKG/UltiPro Payroll experience. Payroll accounting experience.
