Our company is seeking a dynamic and experienced Fabrication and Manufacturing Operations Manager to lead our production team. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing and improving production processes, managing staff, and ensuring that our products meet customer specifications and quality expectations. The role involves strategic planning and coordination to ensure the shop stays on schedule and within budget. The Fabrication and Manufacturing Manager will play a key role in maintaining our reputation for quality and efficiency in the industry.
Responsibilities:
Determine, prepare, and submit initial quotations and job costing for customer-specified products and stock production schedules
Monitor work in progress (WIP) to ensure products remain on budget and on schedule and fill out timely and accurate WIP and Inventory Reports
Coordinate with the Production Supervisors and Production Planner to establish production schedules, including personnel assignment
Communicate material needs and requirements with the Purchasing Department
Serve as the primary point of contact for Fabrication & Metal Operations orders.
Responsible for coordinating with other managers and employees to schedule and manage shared resources and personnel as required for specific production demands
Responsible for overall quality management, establishing Quality Control measures and processes, including maintaining quality standards to assure compliance with regulations and within the specified parameters established by production requirements, customer requirements, or industry standards
Obtain quotes from third parties for production items as needed
Attend and lead production meetings as required to include both company and customer meetings
Resolve customer complaints by investigating problems and developing solutions
Identify potential challenges within a production process and provide innovative solutions and problem-resolution
Offer expert advice to customers with technical needs
Attend job site walk through’s and site visits to analyze special job needs and requirements
Participate in periodic audit reviews to help identify and document areas for future improvement
Hands on training and mentoring of team members in fabrication techniques
Provide performance reviews of team members for feedback and to identify training gaps and opportunities.

Qualifications:
10+ years’ experience in a manufacturing setting
Associate or Bachelors degree in Engineering
In-depth knowledge of metal fabrication and production techniques, including the ability to read drawings and schematics used in the design of metal parts and assemblies
Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing
Must exhibit a high level of professionalism, integrity, and be willing and able to maintain a positive and professional demeanor in representing the company, without exception
Must have the ability to problem-solve and to determine solutions for customers
Must be results-orientated and able to work both independently and within a team environment
Proficient in using Microsoft Office Suite applications as required
Ability to multi-task and meet multiple deadlines
Proficient in organizational skills with a high level of attention to detail
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision or oversight
Aptitude for leadership preferred
Valid driver’s license required
Ability to coordinate with cross-functional teams to accomplish common goals
Proficient in Lean manufacturing, 5S, Six Sigma; Green or Black Belt preferred
Familiarity with Trumpf equipment, CAD software preferred
Bilingual in Spanish preferred
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $80,000.00 – $95,000.00 per year
