Outside Sales Professionals are a talented group of individuals that are capable of discovering sales opportunities on a consultative basis and able turn leads into new customers. As the Outside Sales Representative you will have B2B field sales experience. You will be responsible for arranging client meetings, making sales presentations, and increasing profitability. Career Opportunities: Door Frame & Hardware Sales Representative, End User
Are you passionate about servicing customers in healthcare, schools, universities, military, and other commercial building environments? We offer complete opening solutions for security, life-safety, code compliance, access control system integration, product research and selection, technical support, etc. to ensure well-functioning doorway systems in the commercial building industry. If so, we have an exciting opportunity on our FBM sales team that is meant for you.
In this role, you will be responsible for calling on end users, facilities engineers, and related procurement offices. We need a sales professional capable of building relationships through technical solution selling within the commercial construction, facilities maintenance and after market segments, ultimately to become a trusted advisor and gain acceptance of the product lines represented by FBM commercial DFH to customers such as K-12 Schools, Healthcare, and College/Universities….
Essential Outside Sales Functions/Qualifications/Education:
Strong interpersonal skills
Communicate effectively with a variety of decision makers and influencers including locksmiths, facility managers, IT networking managers, school superintendents.
Develop short- and long-term sales plans.
Identify and classify the sales potential of each client.
Utilize CRM for effective contact management and follow up activities.
Establish a network of clients with a high level of trust, developing relationships quickly and easily.
Sell complete opening solutions as a hands-on consultant using a communication approach that can be effective with a diverse audience.
Must be a hunter that can discover opportunities by aggressively prospecting, profiling, qualifying, identifying client needs, and presenting solutions. Job does require frequent and daily driving to project sites.
You are detail-oriented, organized and excel at following up.
You’re an effective communicator, active listener, and solid negotiator.
Team player but also self-motivated and capable of working independently.
Preferred College/University degree (specialization in related curricula such as: architectural design/engineering, construction science/management, or similar)
Preferred industry related experience with commercial openings as a locksmith, door frames/hardware installer, CHD project manager with school, healthcare, or institutional facilities.
You can read, understand specifications/facility standards and technical aptitude in building construction, electromechanical or IT networking.
Ability to travel and lift/carry up to 50 lbs. of sample and display material for sale presentations.
Working knowledge of Door Hardware, Locks and Access Control
Ability to perform responsibilities both in a home office environment or in-the-field at a construction site or building facility.
As an End User Sales Representative, you must possess excellent interpersonal communication skills, a strong sense of integrity and superb organizational and time management skills. You must be competent in territory management, be able to organize a sales strategy and possess great presentation skills. This position conducts sales calls on existing, and potential End User Customers. The primary purpose of these sales calls is to become a trusted advisor to customers such as, K-12 Schools, Healthcare, and College/ Universities and create opportunities for the sales of Doors, Frames and Hardware.
Knowledgeable and proficient in Microsoft Office Products
