Caryn Cheroke has supported the field, operations and safety teams in Southern California market since 2019. Caryn’s positive energy, passion for her job and innovative outside the box thinking has made a positive impact on the daily operations at The Berg Group. Caryn’s leadership in improving our field planning and productions documents and process standardization in our field operations system (PlanGrid) has made tremendous improvements to our daily operations and has been applied nationwide for use on all Berg projects. The new standards put in place not only saves time for our field teams and improves productivity, which in turn is a direct benefit for to customers.

Janet began her pre-apprenticeship as a drywall finisher right out of high school. While still an apprentice, she was elected to the Executive Board of her union and voted Apprentice of the Year. While running work for a large contractor she worked after hours as a part time instructor mentoring incoming apprentices. Janet has an inextinguishable love for her craft, exhibited in her many successful years as a woman in the trades. Janet has been a full-time apprentice coordinator at DC 36 for the past 7 years. She is a beaming example of the abilities of women in the trades, demonstrated through her rise to the highest levels of craft excellence and leadership professionalism.
