Position Summary:
The primary function of a branch manager is to manage and direct all operation and sales activities of the assigned yard/branch while providing excellent service and delivery execution.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Meets profit goals for the yard.
Maximizes opportunities for improving net profit and develops ways to correct negative trends.
Maintains relationships with customers and understands their needs maximum profit performance.
Assists sales team with developing new customers and follows up on sales leads.
Assists credit with overdue accounts receivables .
Sets pricing and determines appropriate pricing for yard.
Responsible for post-delivery customer audit program to improve business processes.
Responsible for overall customer satisfaction and order accuracy programs.
Resolves customer complaints about service delivery and product quality.
Orders board and materials within general company purchasing guidelines.
Maintains inventory levels and records in the yard.
Oversees responsibility for inter-office procedures.
Responsible for accurate input and confirmation of sales orders, customer information and related reports which support sales order entry process.
Approves all credit memos and return authorizations.
Ensures that yard’s staffing and equipment will meet delivery needs.
Ensures trucks and team members are scheduled appropriately.
Establishes and maintains the overall operational and delivery strategies.
Overall responsibility for managing variable expenses within budgeted targets.
Maintains proper maintenance and equipment protection program.
Understands and plans for equipment depreciation.
Ensures equipment is maintained to company operating standards.
Overall responsibility for yard safety, cleanliness and injury/accident prevention.
Responsible for overseeing and enforcing safety programs and procedures.
Investigates all accidents and injuries thoroughly.
Basic Qualifications:
Minimum of 5 years of related work experience
Strong Microsoft office skills
Demonstrated knowledge of managing a profit-making operation by setting and meeting goals
Demonstrated knowledge of overall distribution business

Physical Requirements:
Must be able to remain in stationary position 50%.
Frequently, will move about inside the office and warehouse.
Must be able to operate basic office machinery.
Must be able to communicate with team and management and be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.
Constantly working in office and warehouse environment.

Must be able to problem solve and prioritize tasks.
Must be able to manage stress depending on deadlines and ongoing projects.
