JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Coordinate with project architects, designers, owners, subcontractors and field personnel.
Responsible for generating Request for Information (RFI) and submittals.
Manage project subcontractors including coordination, procurement of materials and equipment, monitoring budget and cost, manage billings, etc.
Act as the information hub to ensure continuity of work.
Offer technical information to project supervisor to ensure work complies with applicable codes, drawings, and specifications.
Prepare and execute subcontracts and subcontractor change orders, including time extensions. May prepare and execute owner change orders.
Provide estimating services.
Primary responsibility to monitor and track project quality control metrics and activities on a regular basis, provide timely and accurate quality reports, and raise issues to Project Manager or Superintendent as appropriate.
Inspect all work to assure compliance with plans and specifications.
Maintain critical project logs (submittal, change order, etc.)
May supervise staff, including establishing and communicating performance expectations, providing positive and constructive feedback, and conducting on-the-job training of project engineers and interns.
May be responsible for managing project schedule with the project Superintendent.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Graduate of a four-year degree program in Engineering or Construction Management.
Minimum of 3 years of experience assisting or supervising construction projects of increasing complexity.
Full knowledge of computer software, i.e. MS Word, Excel, Project. Knowledge of Primavera scheduling software a plus.
Experience with Project Controls software (Timberline, Prolog or equal).
Working knowledge Autocad or Revit a plus.
Broad knowledge of LEAN and BIM techniques.
Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills.
Good oral and written communication skills.

Capable of traversing over construction-type terrain when under development; moving through the construction site and the materials in place for use on the site; climbing ladders and temporary stairways; conducting visual inspections of quality of construction and materials being used in construction. Conduct jobsite walks to ensure successful project completion. Conduct jobsite walks to identify and eliminate safety hazards.
